In-home

Bloom BCS provides in-home ABA services to those with autism.  In-home services are supervised by a behavior analyst and trained direct care staff.  During this time, an assessment is done to determine need and goals are set with the family to decide what is best suited for the family’s needs and what goals are most feasible for both the individual and family to succeed.  The goal is for the individual to succeed during therapy both with the behavior analyst and the family so that the skills learned can be generalized outside of therapy sessions in the home and community settings.  Skills commonly focused on during in-home therapy consist of: communication skills, social skills, independent skills, task completion/activity skills, leisure skills, and adaptive/community skills.


School Consultation:

Bloom BCS works with school districts across the state to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, behavior and educational consultative services for children with autism, challenging behaviors and other developmental disorders. Building long-lasting relationships is the key to success.

Bloom BCS provides research-based behavioral treatment and recommendations, and provides school districts the staff training, consulting and programming necessary for high-quality, consistent teaching and behavioral intervention.

Programming recommendations, assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans are developed and monitored under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Registered Behavior Technicians are provided for the implementation of plans as necessary as well.

Bloom BCS offers school districts the following:

  • Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Functional Analysis (FA)
  • Behavior Support Plans
  • ABA-trained 1:1 Behavior Technicians
  • Staff trained in Safety Care De-Escalation techniques and Differential
  • Reinforcement procedures as requested
  • Behavior support to IEP teams and classroom teachers
  • IEP goal development
  • Classroom-based consultation
  • Assistance with the Development of ABA Verbal-Behavior Curriculum
  • Parent and family training (when requested)
  • Intensive toilet training programs
  • Assistance with language-based, milestone and vocational assessments
  • Home Tutoring to support Generalization to a Mainstream Learning Environment

Social groups

Social outings are conducted in the natural environment and are individualized to foster social skills, communication and independence. The core principle of working on social outings is to provide individuals with opportunities for social situations and to apply previously mastered in-home skills to social settings.


Supervision

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Bloom provides 40 hours training to direct care providers under the supervision of a BCBA and/or BCaBA looking to become a Registered Behavior Technician.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA): Within our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Bloom provides supervision for supervisees planning to sit for their BCBA according to the BCBA task list.  Both individual and group supervision is provided.  Please contact us for more information.

Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA):  In accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, the BCBAs at Bloom provide ongoing supervision for BCaBA supervisees.
